Our bird residents span an impressive range, from highly intelligent parrots who talk, dance, and delight every visitor, to free-ranging chickens, ducks, and turkeys who roam the property on their own terms. Many of our parrots came to us after families could no longer provide the long-term care they needed, while others arrived after an owner passed away. Some enjoy the run of the property, while others prefer the comfort and quiet of their own space in the catio. Together they have found a permanent, enriching home here. The sanctuary's avian community is loud, colorful, and full of personality.
